LG TV Reviews
In this section, you’ll find a list of all of Televisions.com’s LG TV reviews. Sort the page in order of price, rating, or screen size using the drop-down box to help you select the LG TV that meets your needs.
LG Electronics’ TV reviews generally carry mid-range editor’s ratings, reflecting their suitability for everyday TV viewing but not for home-cinema use — our review team often deducts points for poor contrast and HDTV video processing, but often praises the design and price–performance ratio.
LG makes both LCD and plasma TVs, and has recently announced the arrival of its 15-inch OLED TV, the 15EL9500. In the list of LG televisions, reviews appear for the following models (as of March 2010):
LG TV reviews: 42 LH 7000
Selling for 750 GBP, this TV is a cheap and attractive option for living-room users.
LG TV reviews: 50 PG 7000
Although a 50-inch plasma is typical home-cinema territory, the 50 PG 7000, which sells for 1,200 GBP, suffers from imperfect 24p processing.
LG TV reviews: 42 LG 6000
Also selling for 750 GBP, the 42 LG 6000 is another cheap everyday TV that lacks the credentials for home cinema.
LG TV reviews: 42 LG 6100
Yet another LG at the 750 GBP price point: The 42 LG 6100 is a standard middle of the range LCD TV; for this price, however, you can buy much higher quality modern models.
LG TV reviews: 42 LT 75
The 42 LT 75 sells for 700 GBP and has been available since late 2007. There’s a built-in video recorder, but it’s up to you to decide whether that makes up for the lack of Full HD resolution. Again, the price can buy much better quality in modern series.
LG TV reviews: 42 PC 1 RR
Here’s another LG that’s getting a bit long in the tooth. No longer advertised by online retailers, the 42 PC 1 RR might still be available second-hand. Again, there’s a built-in video recorder, but the resolution is just 1,024 x 768 pixels.
