Sharp’s first 3D TVs in Japan

Electronics manufacturer Sharp will release its first 3D TVs on the Japanese market this summer. They’ll only reach Europe and the US, however, at the end of 2010.


April 12, 2010 — Sharp gets serious about 3D: According to a number of agreeing online reports, the Japanese electronics company will release its first 3D LCD TVs this summer, albeit initially only in Japan. Europe and the US won’t see the TVs until the end of 2010. Little is known about Sharp’s 3D models, but it seems certain that they — like most competing models — will use active shutter glasses in order to produce three-dimensional imagery.
