Samsung upgrades Internet@TV

by Matt Morgan on 03/16/2010

Samsung has spruced up its TVs’ internet features, with the new 2010 models promising to provide faster, more intuitive web navigation. The manufacturer’s new Blu-ray players and home-theatre systems, due to hit the market this April, will also offer internet access.

March 16, 2010 — Samsung will not only introduce its first 3D TVs to the UK market next month; it’s also given the “Internet@TV” function a once-over — in terms of both quality and quantity. The new version claims to be faster, more versatile, and more intuitive to operate, as well as offering more apps than before. A fleet of new Blu-ray players and Blu-ray home-theatre systems will arrive at the same time as the TVs, and all of these devices will include the internet functionality. Samsung has also announced a “Software Developers Kit” to allow people to easily develop their own apps. Ring any bells?
