What makes a good picture? Toshiba has set out to examine this question at the IFA in Berlin, putting on 45-minute courses to explain exactly what counts - and for free!

August 5, 2009 - During this year's IFA in Berlin, Japanese consumer-electronics manufacturer Toshiba will collaborate with White Light Consultations (WLC): Together, they will present picture-optimization workshops in the "Regza LED Home Cinema" (Hall 21a). Courses lasting around 45 minutes will use LED TVs from Toshiba's new SV685 series to examine all important picture parameters: Contrast, motion depiction, colors, and sharpness. According to Toshiba, this will include technical explanations, test patterns, and high-quality movie sequences, giving the participants a keener eye for the essential characteristics of a top picture. The workshops will take place daily at 4:00pm between Sept. 4 and Sept. 8 (Hall 21a).
