Reports suggest that LG Electronics plans to introduce its 15-inch OLED TV, the EL9500, in the United States this summer. As yet, the TV is only available in the Far East.

February 18, 2010 — According to reports on various websites, LG staff at this year’s Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade fair have said that the company plans to bring its EL9500 to the US market in mid-2010. The 15-inch OLED TV is already available in the manufacturer’s home country of South Korea, and is said to offer an HD resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. Several EL9500s were on display at the ISE, which takes place annually in Amsterdam. LG staff at January’s CES 2010 in Las Vegas also said the device would arrive in the US this summer, but neither team could say when the device will reach the European market. Pricing in the US is expected to be about 2,500 USD (1,600 GBP).
