New Grundig "Leemaxx" LCD TV
Swim shorts, sunglasses, wallet...and TV: Grundig now offers mobile TV viewing. The 19-inch "Leemaxx" LCD monitor weighs just three kilograms and should cut a fine figure at beach-side barbecues.
August 17, 2009 - Do TVs have to be black, heavy, and bulky? No, not all of them! OK, Grundig's new lifestyle monitor, the "Leemaxx", won't exactly fit in your trouser pocket, but it's definitely small enough to use on the go.
Available in black and white finishes, the 19-inch display ships without a pedestal, and, with its softly curving silhouette and practical carry-handle, is supposed to make a breeze of on-the-fly viewing. For TV wherever you please, the device has an integrated DVB-T receiver and CI slot, according to Nuremberg-based Grundig.

Weighing in at just three kilos, thanks to its numerous plastic components: Grundig's "Leemaxx".
Still, don't expect top vital statistics like those of larger LCD TVs: The 19-inch panel has a resolution of just 1,366 x 768 pixels and, therefore, isn't Full HD. Thanks to a VGA connection, the display can at least double up as a PC monitor, and, via the USB 2.0 connection, can play back music, videos, and photos.
Grundig hasn't yet announced worldwide pricing and availability, but the "Leemaxx" will be available in its home country, Germany, this September, for a suggested retail price of 399 Euros (around 350 GBP).
