IFA 2009: New LH7-M22BB and LH7-M32BB LCD TVs from Funai

Funai will present new LCD TVs at the IFA trade fair, including the 32-inch LH7-M32BB, which is available immediately on the continent. Further models will follow in December, including, for example, a 40-inch model with Full HD resolution.

August 26, 2009 - At Berlin's IFA 2009 trade fair, Japanese electronics company Funai will present new LCD TVs from its 7 series. Both models - the 32-inch LH7-M32BB and its smaller brother, the 22-inch LH7-M22BB - are aimed at the mass market and will, the company hopes, attract customers that don't want to spend a fortune on a TV.

Given the price of 450 Euros (around 400 GBP), it's no surprise that the 32-incher lacks Full HD resolution and has only a DVB-T tuner. The latter can, however, also receive high-definition terrestrial broadcasts in the MPEG4/H.264 standard.

Although pricing and availability haven't yet been announced for the English-speaking world, the Japanese manufacturer has said it also aims to bring out a 40-inch LCD TV this December, providing Full HD resolution for the first time in the company's history.
