Excellent features for your money! The build quality also pleases, as does the extremely versatile installation, but Epson’s LCD projector fails to make the most of its potential — its presets, for example, show subtle discolourations. Experts can optimise the colours using the detailed set of picture controls.

    Acer H 7530 D
The Acer H 7530 offers both superb design and practical features for on-the-go use. What’s more, it provides bright, colourful, and crisp HDTV projections. On the down side, the outdated DLP colour wheel produces some nasty picture errors, which — even at the low price — are tough to live with.

    Mitsubishi HC 3800
This Mitsubishi delivers an excellent price–performance ratio: The attractive, contrast-rich DLP projection beats that of many similarly priced competitors. But the HC 3800 shows some colour deviations and weaknesses in its presets.

    Panasonic PT-AE 4000
In terms of light output, the PT-AE 4000 surpasses its predecessors. It also combines attractive colours with outstanding contrast, as well as versatile and professional features. Not so impressive, on the other hand, were the small colour fringes on moving objects.

    Samsung SP-A 600 B
This Samsung has nothing to fear from similarly priced competitors — the colour purity, sharpness, and brightness are all the best that money can buy. Weaknesses in its de-interlacing and faulty non-primary colours in eco mode slightly water down the otherwise positive impression.
