New Full HD, home-theater projector from Samsung
In September 2009, Samsung will release a new DLP projector, the SP-A600B. Besides the obligatory Full HD resolution, the new model offers a light output of 1,000 ANSI-lumen, a reaction time of 16 microseconds, and a contrast ratio of 3,000:1.
July 16, 2009 — News from Samsung: In September, the Korean company will release their new SP-A600B, a DLP projector, to the German market. The 2,700 Euro (about 2,300 GBP) projector, with its DLP-chip and extended color spectrum, is aimed primarily at home-theater enthusiasts — besides Full HD resolution, it also offers accurate playback of the 24p movie frame rate.
The new contender — like its older brother the SP-A800B — was optimized by none other than the "video pope" Joe Kane. In Televisions.com's experience, Joe Kane ensures particularly neutral colors, just like those seen in the movie studio.

Futuristic design: In terms of looks at least, Samsung's SP-A600B will polarize potential buyers.
The Korean manufacturer quotes a light output of 1,000 ANSI-lumen, and a contrast ratio of 3,000:1. The 16-microsecond response time is a great deal faster than that of any modern flat-panel TV, but we're unable to comment — as yet — on the resulting picture's motion-clarity.
According to Samsung, the futuristic SP-A600B also has two HDMI inputs, and produces low operating-noise of just 24 decibels in its low-power mode. The company hasn't yet announced pricing and availability for the United Kingdom.
