An entertaining behind-the-scenes look at Hollywood —
with a love story thrown in for good measure
Movie Details:
Blu-ray: The Deal
Length: 100 minutes
Genre: Satire/Romance
Studio: Peace Arch Trinity
Cast: Meg Ryan, David Hunt, William H. Macy, Jason Ritter, Tere Morris
Director: Steven Schachter
Rating: R (available as a Region 1 US import)

Picture Format: 1.78:1 (1080/24p)

PICTURE QUALITY:
The sunny scenes, which were filmed in South Africa, look superb and display in vivid colour. But it seems that the production used quite a lot of noise filters: The plasticity is limited and many pictures have a blurry background.
(6 out of 10 points)
SOUND QUALITY:
No complaints here — a decent 5.1-channel mix with a balanced spatial effect.
(8 out of 10 points)
BONUS MATERIAL:
Weak. Apart from a 17-minute ‘making of’, all you get is a handful of trailers.
