Blu-ray Movie Review
Movie: Cocky racecar “Lightning McQueen” thinks he’s the best and often comes across as arrogant. This all changes while he’s on his way to a race and, by chance, winds up in the desert town of Radiator Springs, where he gets to know the “simple life” of other cars.

Televisions.com thinks:
A great movie to enjoy with the family.

PICTURE QUALITY:
Phenomenal! There’s absolutely nothing to criticize: You can see even the tiniest of details, and the picture couldn’t be more HD. If you want to show friends what your new Full HD TV can do, this should be your disc of choice!

SOUND QUALITY:
Here, again, we’re awarding full points. Never before has an animated movie provided such clear surround or sounded so aggressive (keyword: racecars!) — the rear channels are barely ever quiet. Racing action never sounded better.

BONUS MATERIAL:
“Cars” offers plenty of extra features. The coolest by far is the “Cine-Explore” mode, a sort of picture-in-picture commentary in which the production team report on the making of the movie. The user can choose to display photos, sketches, and production artwork during the commentary, well as various video clips. We also love the animated shorts “One Man Band” and “Mater and the Ghostlight” (both in HD). Rounding things off are some additional scenes, a “Car Finder” game, and photo galleries.
