Great - sharp and detail-rich throughout (for example, the cotton field at 13:01). The new scenes fit in excellently.

SOUND QUALITY:
Sadly just average. Concert recordings play back with high fidelity, but apart from reverb and applause, the rear speakers are barely active. Apart from the music, the center speaker produces the sound.

BONUS MATERIAL:
Decent. On top of the double-DVD version's extras (director's commentary, deleted and extended scenes, a making-of, and various featurettes), the Blu-ray edition adds "Sun Records and the Johnny Cash Sound" (11:48), "Cash Legacy" (15:09), and "Becoming Cash/Becoming Carter" (10:56).
