Televisions.com thinks:
A masterpiece!

PICTURE QUALITY:
First rate! "The Curse of the Black Pearl" looks extremely sharp and vivid, and used no electronic tricks to achieve this — it’s one of the best pictures we’ve ever seen!
(10 out of 10 points)
SOUND QUALITY:
Excellent — we particularly enjoyed the background music and rich bass, but the effects don’t sound quite as impressive as in the two sequels.
(9 out of 10 points)
BONUS MATERIAL:
Not as extensive as we’d hoped: You do at least get an almost 80-minute-long feature on the film’s production, a half-hour piece on the film’s references to history, and an exclusive ‘trivia track’. Unfortunately, however, the three audio commentaries from the double-DVD version didn’t make it onto this Blu-ray release.

Note: This Blu-ray made it into our list of the 43 best Blu-rays ever.
